Hello, and welcome to the Tuna Museum.
This Audio Guide has been produced to guide you during your visit.
Located opposite the marina, this picturesque place is managed by "Autrefois Etel et sa région", an association of enthusiasts. You will discover magnificent naval or landscape models, ex-votos, reconstructions and photos of these bygone eras which tell the memory of the town of Etel around several themes:
The first room tells us the story of sardine fishing and then tuna sailing.
The second room takes us into the history of deep-sea fishing on the high seas, as well as that of the rescue station.
Temporary exhibitions, videos, workshops and games for the whole family regularly complement the visit of the museum collections.
The tours use picture stops to mark your route through the museum. Each stop has a photo to guide you on your audio journey.
At each stage a recording is available to you via a small player with play, pause and stop controls. You can also adjust the volume using the standard controls on your phone.
Below the audio player you will find two buttons.
The green button Next to guide you to the next step, and the red Summary.
Each audio recording is followed by a transcription. This is partly for the hearing impaired, but also for anyone who prefers to read rather than listen.
During your visit, feel free to ask questions to the crew members. They know the museum very well and will be able to tell you more about particular objects or about the history.
